Landscape imagery is loosely derived from scenes surrounding the Great Lakes Region with hopes of capturing a gestural moment describing the areas great possibility. Text is derived from marketing slogans. The words were chosen for their ability to simultaneously be hopeful and questioning.

Jennifer Seibert is a multidisciplinary artist born in Chicago, IL, raised in Dallas, TX. She has shown work nationally and internationally. She has had solo exhibitions in France, Italy and throughout the United States. She has created two feature length films and several short films, many of which were made possible through research fellowships and grants. She has attended several residencies in Europe and has won multiple awards for both her installations and short films. Seibert often works collaboratively and believes that the visual arts can be used as a means to create discussions about important contemporary subjects. Her most recent work was juried into an exhibition by the Curator of Exhibitions from the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, and featured in the Media Lab at the College Art Association Conference in NYC. She is currently creating a short experimental documentary investigating the American Dream, and co-curating an exhibition about contemporary drawing in Detroit. She holds an MFA in drawing and painting from Wichita State University and a BFA in drawing and painting from Kansas City Art Institute. She has been a Professor of Art at Eastern Michigan University since 2005.
